HOW THEY WORK

Present a card. Open the door. Take what you want.

Smart vending coolers remove the two things people dislike most about vending machines: product codes and the drop. The customer interacts with a fridge, not a keypad — and the technology handles the rest.

A smart vending cooler works in three steps: the customer presents a contactless card or mobile wallet to unlock the door, takes the products they want off the shelf, and closes the door. Product-recognition technology records the items and payment is taken automatically.

THE CUSTOMER JOURNEY

Three steps, no instructions needed

  1. 01
    Present card or phone

A contactless card or mobile wallet is presented at the reader. The cabinet stays locked until a valid payment method is recognised.

  2. 02
    Door unlocks

The customer opens the door and picks the items up by hand. Nothing is dropped, so fresh food and packaged cakes stay intact.

  3. 03
    Payment on closing

Product recognition identifies what was taken and the transaction completes as the door closes. A record is kept for every purchase.

THE TECHNOLOGY

What sits behind the glass

Cashless payment

Card, contactless and mobile wallet acceptance. No cash mechanism, no float and no coin jams.

Access control

The lock only releases against a valid payment method, so stock is never open to the room.

Product recognition

Technology in the cabinet identifies the items removed, so customers never enter a code or scan a barcode.

Refrigeration

Chilled operation suited to fresh food and drinks, with a flexi-temp model available for frozen ranges.

Remote reporting

Sales and stock activity can be reviewed remotely to plan replenishment and adjust the range.

Traceable transactions

Each door opening is tied to a payment, which is what makes unattended sites practical to run.

WHAT YOU NEED ON SITE

Requirements for an installation

Nothing unusual — but worth confirming before you choose a model.

  • Floor space for the cabinet plus clear door swing
  • A standard UK power supply within reach
  • A reasonably level, solid floor
  • Connectivity for payment authorisation and reporting
  • Ventilation clearance and a position away from direct heat
  • A safe, practical route for delivery and restocking
RUNNING ONE

Day-to-day operation

Stocking

Shelves are arranged around your product mix, so the layout can change as your range does. Because customers lift items by hand, you can merchandise the way a chilled retail display would — facings forward, dates rotated to the front.

Replenishment

Remote sales and stock visibility means you restock because the data says so, not because a visit is on the calendar. Higher-capacity models simply lengthen the interval between rounds.

Food safety

Products must be suitably packaged, labelled with ingredient and allergen information and temperature-managed in line with your obligations as the operator. The cooler provides controlled refrigerated storage and a sales record to support that.

Support

We are UK-based and back the machines with practical vending experience, so questions about siting, product ranging or day-to-day operation go to people who have run vending estates.
